Hi Shaneystar2
thanks for those....and ur right the pattern for Inka is fab.......might just go for that one.
I have an old faithful coat/jacket but it is fast coming to the end of its life......searching for a replacement has proved fruitless so back to the drawing board and time to get the needles out....:-)
thanks again

Hi again MM ..I was thinking after I posted that you could take the pattern like Inka for example and just adapt it to a plain pattern of your own choice if you didn't want to do all the fancy colours and stitches etc. It gives you the number of rows and stitches so you could in theory just do it in garter stitch or a moss stitch in one colour.
I think it's gorgeous but these days I stick to smaller projects !
Anyway I hope you find something suitable ..Happy Knitting :)

Hi SS
I love the jacket, just what i'm looking for but longer so i'm looking at it to lengthen it but i do love the inka pattern, and I will check out the place you use for wool, I am lucky I have a friend who will knit it for me (I rang for help understanding the inka pattern and she offered....it would be rude not to accept ;-)....) but actually during my search I have found the urge to start knitting again just not something quite so big to start with.......and Spudqueen thanks for the heads up on the fluffy stuff I did tell Lin what wool i wanted and she wasnt phased......she could be very fed up by the end of a long jacket....oops I guess it will be a very big pressy to say thanks........
thanks both
