Can I find out if a person holds a valid CRB check? I am looking for a private tutor for my child.

You could also ring your Local Authority and ask for the officer who deals with registering children for Home Education - they're usually attached to the Education Welfare department, they can't recommend anyone to you but they may be able to offer advice on what to look for.
