my hub tells me he recalls seeing a gadget that can be plugged into the handpiece of a corded standard phone that enabl;es it to then be used as a cordless phone? he says this enables the twirly phone cord to be removed and it can be used as a cordless. he'snot sure where or when he saw this...anybody else heard of such an odd thing? if so where would it be purchased? how would this work?

Surely the real question is 'why bother when cordless phones are so cheap'?

yeah - but i'm alsking as a curiosity - cos the hub swears he saw a gadget that would do this....but can't remeber when / where

oh spudqueen - besides the "curiosity factor" i've just asked mby hiub why and he says the phone concerned is an office phone, linked to a big switchboard...dunno why this would make a difference?
Yes you can, the phones at work and the wholesaler I use have them, when I go there next i'll get the make of it and let you know...
Question Author
oh thanks disco fever - it'll be really good of you to let me know.....X
No problem, I looked on the unit at the wholesalers and it's made by a company called Plantronics.
