Hellooooo...........I've just plugged in.......:o)

I'll look into it - get back to you in a minute.............
Hi, sorry to but in as the question isnt directed at me, I used to temp in a local social work office who supplied aids etc within the community and your local council may do the same. Some of the items were also supplied by local health visitors so its worth asking there too. They supplied even small items to help put socks on, and open jars, kettle lifts etc. Check it out with your own local council.

I found this link which may be of use from the Disabled Living Foundation. They mention leversl.

This link is more of an american manufacturer I think, but these levers do exist.

oops some timing
This is more or less the same answer that you got from weeal.
Telephone the OT Department of Social Work.
(Occupational Therapy) and ask them to do a referral on your friend's behalf.
They will come out to do an assessment.
Depending on where you live, the service may be free. Some Councils have a small fee to start, then any other needs are free.
Hi Cruella, yeah the council is terrific, they supply things I didnt even know existed, and its not only to council tenants either. You can even loan stuff if you have disabled visitors coming to stay .
10 minutes ago I'd have said "no problem" - but that's one of the annoying things about the net - it's all out there somewhere. I've drawn a blank so far. I guess all you need is an extended lever. I have seen them I know.
I've checked plumbers merchants and several disabled/mobility sites - all they want to do is sell you a complete bathroom!
I'll talk to my merchants tomorrow - also try Social services - they should know about suppliers.
Shall post for you tomorrow :o)
...........look at that lol.........while I'm typing out unhelpful twaddle, the girls have it sorted...............:o))))))))))
its not unhelpful twaddle builder <:-)
Hi Weeal and Cruella..................thanks for that Ali..:o))))
Speak to you later
Weeal,
I was just about to post the same reply to The Builder.
His reply was useful and we may need his advice some day.

The OT dept will sort all the problems out and any more that your friend may have.
yes I was thinking of having the builder over later lol
I agree , the O.T.Dept is very helpful , I was assessed and the council provided changes to help my disabilty round the house , including a walk-in shower wet room .
Builder another quote please:

An intergral garage conversion to a room.

New interior walls, one radiator led from pipes

New door and frame (to kitchen)

Electrics already in place but a light on the ceiling.

Artex ceiling

New window where garage door is and brick wall to fill in the hole.

Thank you.

(nearest 1000 will do)
