One coloured wall.

Does anybody have a wall in their sitting room a different colour to the other three, whether paint or wallpaper?

I see this all the time on various TV home improvement shows etc, but a part of me likes order and symmetry.

If you do what single colour do you have against the three other walls. And do you like it?

I have three walls painted peach, the fireplace is also peach and the alcoves either side are cream. I still like it but may change the peach in the summer, just don't know what colour for.

I read the question, thought "how daft would that look?", went into the living room where her majesty is busily watching eastenders and only then realised that the fireplace wall is indeed a different colour.

Has been for about two years apparently.

Something like that would mean all picture and no sound for the night. And when the conversation does start it'd be to choose colours, and then I could kiss weekends away for the next few months!

In my defence, it's not THAT different - pastel green vs cream.

I see a red door , and I want to paint it black .

They're the bluest blue ever. THAT I can tell without looking. Mix that with long dark hair and it's a winning mix for me.


I'm still not painting the walls for her though, not this week.

I've got 2 walls that are lilac and 2 that are white - sounds odd, I know, but the white ones are stone, so it actually looks quite good. Hi, cruella - nice to see you back! K xx
