Can you colour over highlights with a temporary dye?
I have some root growth of an inch now and need to cover it up. My husband detests my highlights. Does anybody think I should not take a chance and colour over them. I bought what I thought was medium brown but it is chestnut brown so I think it shows a hint of red. I might end up with red highlights! What do you think? I suppose I had better get it done properly or get a medium brown which has no red in it and just cover the roots. Any comments girls?

I have mid-dark brown hair, had blonde highlights and used Garnier, Belle Colour, natural light brown over the whole head. Unfortunately, you cannot take my guarantee though, as we will have used different highlight dye and everyone's hair differs etc, but it maybe worth doing a tester.
