Browsealoud is a free (to the user) screenreader plugin that follows your mouse. It took about ten minutes to download and install with broadband and don't be too concerned if nothing seem to happen for a while; it gets there eventually. Once downloaded I didn't need to change any settings to get it working.
Browsealoud works with sites that have paid to be browsealoud enabled. In a five minute test I found that it worked with the BBC, NHS and Google.com and Yahoo.com but not with number-10.gov, Google.co.uk or Yahoo.co.uk. Sorry but it doesn't work with AnswerBank either.
