monitor turning its self off ?

help my monitor keeps turning its self off sumtimes my internet connection goes with it (ntl broadband) my tower still has power and it still running have to reboot to get it all back on thank u x

 yes mine used to do that ,i am also on ntl broadband but after downloading windows service pack 2 it seems to be ok now.

does it always turn off after the same ammount of time?

if so go to start, settings, control panel, power options. there you will find the timer to set for the monitor to turn off.

  if it turns itself off while you are using the computer, i have no clue what the prob could be. maybe a loose connection in back of the monitor or the tower.
