Car insurance
Why is it that when you are getting quotes for car insurance, they ask what the value of the car is?? I have never known an insurance company pay the stated value on a car, rather what they think it is worth. Why bother asking in the first place, surely they should base it onindependant valuation, say from Glas`s Parkers etc. Surley your quote is based on the valuation at the time!!

1. If the car is over a certain value, 30,000 in Tesco's case, we will require that a thatcham approved cat 1 or 2 tracker be fitted to the vehicle in order that the car be covered for theft.
2. If the car is over 5,000 it has to be insured on a comprehensive basis, rather than TPO or TPF&T.
Hope that helps.
