Autumn fruiting raspberries need to be cut down to near ground level in early spring .Summer fruiting canes get cut out after fruiting in the summer.Leave the other canes and you can tie the new canes which will fruit next season, onto parallel support wires. It DOES MAKE IT LOOK TIDIER but I have never tied in raspberry canes and got on fine. To find out which is which you will probably need to wait to see when they fruit. If you get no fruit these are proably summer fruiting as they fruit on last seasons growth which you will have cut away. Mark the canes with string or a label so that you do not get mixed up again!! Supports can be made by having posts with thin wire at about a foot apart running parallel to the ground.
