Hi,

I wanted to put a bunch of cameras around my house (webcams/radio surveillance cams?) to pick up signs of an intruder which then gets posted to a web server which uploads to my website and then notifies me. Any good ways of doing this? What gear should I use? Can I get it to notify me? Any good software? Help please! The burglars is coming!

Try a piece of software called 'Pryme', very easy to use/set up and it's free. Do a google for it, although it might be www.pryme.com, never used it for uploading to server (but it can do it), it is excellent as motion CCTV software, it timestamps the pics whenever it senses movement. Try that first as it won't cost you anything. If it's no good, then at lease you've not lost anything !
Also try webcam xp pro (also free).  It will record, time stamp, snap shot, upload to a website and email you when movement is detected.
Oh, and any 10 webcam will do.  Webcam Xp supports 6 cams at once
