The Avenida de Julio in Buenos Aires, at 425 feet across, is the world's widest. It's something like 18 lanes across and I can tell you it's no fun avoiding the potholes and the barmy Argentine drivers either as a pedestrian or, especially, when riding a motorbike with Brazilian number plates!!
