More teenage death in village

I read about the teenagers killing themselves in this town months ago and am heartbroken that it is happening again.

What on earth do you think is going on?
I cant even imagine how terrified the parents in that area must be.

I know what you mean but why on earth are they doing it ?
Surely, there must be something very wrong with their minds to do this, not to mention what they are putting their families through. Very odd.

I am afraid a lot of these tragic events are down to the Welsh mentality and backward way of life. Also their high incidence of ritual child abuse, animal torture and lack of moral education adds to the gruesome statistic.

They may have free prescriptions and relatively nice scenery, but human beings have to have a sense of belonging. Whilst Welsh national identity and pride are very high, maybe even more so than the English, when they become aware of what they are basing this pride on, I am afraid the illusion is shattered. This realisation they they are living in a British Beirut occurs around the teenage years, hence the high suicide rate.

They see their parents and many do not realise nor accept there is life beyond the Severn bridges. Likened to Hobbits, I am sad to say the Welsh are a very insular people.

The police appear to be saying very little - this is 16 teenagers now who have killed themselves over the past year!! Someone must be responsible for this; some kind of cult or brainwashing? I would move my kids from that area and ban them from using the internet that's for sure!

Hi cat. I think some investment in youth activities and training teachers and parents on spotting signs of depression and self harming are probably needed in this area. It could be that there is nothing to do there that is spiralling these kids into depression.

I was a bit of a depressive teenager and after a spate of serious self harming my doctor said to me that I was "sh@gged out from doing nothing". In retrospect, I think he was probably right.

Its terrible. I dont understand how they can succeed. One of the cousins hanged herself from a shower rail, it said. How can that be? Surely the rail would have broken under her weight? Also, there would not be much of a drop, at most only a few inches. Its so hard to understand.
