Has anyone stayed in the wellington hotel, New york, and the Luxor in las vegas. We are going to new york and Las vegas in the summer and those are the hotels that we are booked into

summer in Las Vegas? Warm! Expect 100 degrees or so. And NYC can get quite sultry too. Sorry, can't help with the hotels.

July and August have LOW of 74 degrees.

Luxor in Vegas is good, big spacious rooms etc, stayed last year and it was all refurbished.Good base as it is linked by an overhead walkway to the New YorkNew York, the MGM, Tropicana, etc and by monorail to the Mandalay.

I have stayed at the Wellington in NYC and I loved it. Perfect location to walk around all the main tourist places. It was comfortable, clean,and safe!!! We could walk to quite a selection of "little cafe's" for breakfast that served pancakes and eggs easy over etc, whilst sitting at a counter---Very American, we really enjoyed it and hope you do too.

if you look on tripadvisor for the luxor you will see that it has mixed reviews. we stayed in november last year and my husband got red non itchy bites on his forearms. if you look on tripadvisor there are photos of people with these bites, apparently they are from bed bugs! we had different beds luckily. dont want to put you off! the room itself was fine but our bathroom was worn and needed a revamp. think they may be doing it throughout as its looking tired inside.
