Ive looked back over the days postings and doesnt anyone have anything to say about the end of 50 years of Fidel Castro's Cuba .D@mn it you wont be able to a '57 Chevrolet anywhere now.
I have been to Cuba and the people (IMO) were very poor and very timid. We traded our trainers and sunhats for their souvenirs, they wanted anything with a brand on it!!! It is underdeveloped I think and as a tourist I felt intimidated by the begging wed saw from adults and children. I hope things improve, not heard the news but has Castro retired or died?
Castro has stepped down in favour of his son. . Remember the Bay of Pigs
Castro and Kennedy face to face over 90 miles of water and nucleur missiles aimed straight into the heart of the US.Castro capitulated. He got nothing from his communist overlords but his country was and is devisted by the US sanctions, and rightly so.Lets hope now the country can be brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century
Quite so Figure , his brother ,not his son. This is like 'The King is dead - long live the King for the time being . Im looking further foreward maybe - coin a phrase - not the beginning of the end, more the end of the beginning.
