on the side of my jar it says... it is important that this product is not consumed uncooked... but ive looked at the ingredients and i cant see why this would be. i mean what would happen to me if i licked the spoon after i dolloped a load into my pan?

I use Pataks as well mandimoo, and I always lick the spoon. I believe that all food products presented in a sealed jar or a can have been through a sterilising process (please correct me somebody if I am wrong)

Try Pataks Vindaloo sauce, the large jar not the paste, it is dynamite.

just had 3 jars of Patak's in the Sainsbury's delivery tonight...........thinking of having the Rogan Josh...........what do you think Whiffers and Mandi?

i think they are brilliant. they taste great and once they are opened they keep for months, not like most jars nowadays that have to be used within 3 days, or 2 weeks or summat.
Keep for months, puzzles me !!

Once I've opened a Pataks I use it same day, I cook a huge curry, a blaster. Pataks is brilliant. Not a very intelligent answer but a heartfelt one.

I've used all the Pataks range, all are top class, I just have to zap them up with serious chilli heat.
