Goods to Spain
We have recently bought a house there, and we are not yet able to move full time but would like to fix lights, curtains and a few household goods plus clothes and sun beds etc etc. anyone know of a reasonably priced way to send goods so we can fly over and do the necessary work. I would collect goods from Spain - Torrevieja area.
Many thanks

What you want is a firm that does 'groupage' to Spain. This will mean your cargo will make up part of a truck load to Spain. Check prices, as they may include local collection and delivery. When I used to work for Davies Turner, the service to Spain was 3 times a week and it will take about 2 days to get there.
When we moved a load of stuff over to Cyprus we had absolutely brilliant service from Atlantis - http://www.atlantisltd.co.uk
It may depend where in the country you are - Atlantis have offices an Leeds and Birmingham, but offer a nationwide service - and there will be lots of other freight forwarders you could try. From a personal perspective, however, I can recommend Atlantis 100%.

Hi
Your best bet is probably to buy in Spain. There is an Ikea at Murcia, not far from Torrevieja, and loads of furniture and electrical shops in the area.An automatic washer cost me 160euros plus 20euros for 3 years extra cover ! Clothes and sunbeds are plentiful and cheap on the markets. The Yorkshire linen shop near Carrefour in Torre, has English bedding and towels etc. You might well find it cheaper to buy than send goods over. Whatever you decide, hope you enjoy Spain as much as we do. Good Luck.
