5 Answers
I am spending the wknd with my in laws - and my sister in laws - I don't have the best relationship in the world with them but am quite a patient person and can generally tolerate them - BUT I am premenstrual at the moment and that is not a good combination for me. Is there something I can take that is legal to lift me out of this temporary black mood that i am in.....?

1. Laugh. Laughter provides the same benefits as exercise. Its also less energetic than running.
2. Pet an animal, or yourself - its not forbidden!
3. Drink a glass of water. For an added kick, add a wedge of lemon or lime to it. Wow!
4. Breathe deeply. Not shallow otherwise you might pass out = not good.
5. Close your eyes and daydream of happy times. Or do this one after no.8 and 12.
6. Smell a flower, but not Sainsburys Lilys they smell of cat wee.
7. Clean the toilet. Really. Give it a quick spray with window cleaner, swish with a brush, and flush. I tell my wife this is a really good pick me up, shes not convinced.
8. Kiss. Ooer, imagine the Argos deliveryman turning up just as you get to this one!
9. Put on fresh lipstick. On you, not the dog.
10. Hug. If no one else is around to hug, hug yourself. Cross your arms over in front of you, grab your shoulders, and squeeze. Or refer to no.8
11. Yawn & Stretch (these two are good to do after the deliveryman has left).
12. Eat a chocolate. It contains anti-oxidants and heart-healthy compounds. So the wife says, Im not convinced.
13. Polish a mirror. Then look in it and smile. My mirror always makes me laugh, then cry, then eat chocolate and drink beer, then diet.
14. Brush your hair. Its about time you did for heavens sake, you dont want anyone finding out what you did with Mr Argos.
15. Brush your teeth. Removes the chocolate stains.
16. Massage your shoulders or your hands or your feet. Dont do this on the bus, unless you WANT that kind of attention.
17. Step out doors and look at the sky. When you get off the bus, but mind the kerb.
18. Think of five things you are thankful for. Chocolate x 3, partner/anonymous deliverymen and partner/anonymous deliverymen covered in chocolate.
