The one thing I do remember about that song was that one of the Radio 1 DJs (probably Simon Bates) said he would eat his microphone if it didn't get to number one. And it didn't. It was quite a catchy little number though I did prefer the original to the remix that finally cracked the top 40 about a year later.
The Beloved had a few singles in the early nineties. "Hello", "Scarlet Beautiful" and "Sweet Harmony". The orignial Sweet Harmnoy was 1993, but I think there was a remix version that also did well - was it at Easter 1996?
The Blessing were an LA MOR band from about 1993. "Highway five" was quite a big hit in the states. I have the 12", that's how old we are talking! I still love the record.
