Which Amplifier

I have made some backing tracks which I have put on to a CD. I want to sing along to them playing a Strat which I shall use for chords and a bit of lead in the solo. My problem is, I only really want to use 1 amp. Should I put it all through the PA or get, say, a keyboard amp? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

you need your vocals and backing track through the PA and ideally your strat through a dedicated guitar amp D.I ed through the PA
though you could just put the guitar through the PA it will sound better DI ed

oh forgot to mention putting the output from the guitar amp through the PA isnt always necessary it depends on the size of room/amp etc

If you use an amp modeller, you can get the sounds of a decent guitar amp through your PA.

Thanks guys, for taking the trouble to answer. The PA I've seen has an input for guitar so if I use my POD amp modeller through that input I think I should be OK.
