Mine is next year wing and because I didn't have an 18th or 21st birthday party I did think about hiring a hall and having a big party. However, lately I've started to think that with the money you'd spend hiring the hall, food, etc etc...I may as well do one of those 5 day trips to New York or something so am thinking along those lines instead now.
Thanx MK66
I suggested Paris as I was meant to go a few years back but couldn't due to health complications but thing is it doesn't feel right just me and hubby going as I would like to celebrate this with my 2 girls and Mum & Step Dad so could end up being quite pricey. Maybe I should tot it up just for the 2 of us just to see how much it would be?
Oh blooming heck I don't know what to do!!! I thought about a party but think we are running out of time as Birthday is end of March.
Starting to panic that I should have been better prepared than this!!!

Hi Beads! :o)
Ooooo New York!
Now hadn't thought of that!! and I am liking the idea! Maybe could have a special meal with the kids and Mum & step Dad when we get back??!!
I too didn't do anything special for my 18th or 21st, infact spent 21st moving into a house that we had to move out of almost a year to the day later so wanted to do something special for my 30th.
New York is moving towards the top slot!! :o)

Hiya wingnut - it is a bit spesh isn't it. That's why I've started to think about it for mine too...You could definitely have a lovely family meal upon your return and these breaks are pretty short so the kids won't even know you're gone and it will be a bit exciting for them too as they'll be staying with nan and grandad!.... let us know the outcome :)

Oh yes, I can recommend New York too! First time I went through my job and stayed at the Grand Hyatt (very posh!) and had a helicopter trip over Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty - that was something else! Second time I went I caught a cold at the airport, flight was delayed and I ended up with flu (and deaf) by the time I got to NY where the temperature was minus numbers! Won't forget that trip in a hurry either!!
P.S. If you wanted a party, I'm brilliant at organising them (even at short notice)!
Whatever you choose to do, I hope you have a great time!
