transfering camcorder film onto dvd or computer

I have a digital camcorder and I want to transfer the film Ive taken and put it on dvd or my pc, can I do this at home, if so, how do I go about doing this, and if not, where can I get it done?

If your PC doesn't have a firewire port, you can get one from Maplin (or just about any PC store).

You can use Windows Movie Maker to make your movies (Start/Programs/Accessories/Windows Movie Maker).
