Why havent they got a topic on childrens homework on here!

Now am not a daftie, but am struggling tonight with things called Vertices or Nodes (maths homework primary 6)
the lines joining there vertices or nodes are called arcs.
Doh! i feel rather thick tonight, or do any of you also struggle with the kids homework sometimes, i know when tomorrow comes it will all fall into place!

My middle child is science mad and in the top set so I really struggle to help her with homework.
Last week she was doing astronomy and asked if I knew the difference between a white dwarf and a brown dwarf.
The best I could come up with was to say that the brown dwarf had probably been on his holidays.
The look of disgust on her face was priceless.

Now thats a good idea alinic, I have one of my Granddaughters for two nights per week and I must agree some of the homework I find mind boggling especially when it's years since I was at school.Other than a topic it has to be google i'm afraid.g

Might be a good idea to suggest it, alinic. I see so many questions on here that are very obviously homework questions. Would be good if they could all go in one place.
