I'm sitting here listening to some new cds that arrived today, and just wondering if I'm the only one who still buys music? I know most of my mates download from certain sites instead.
Also - if you do buy music, what were the last three cds you bought?
Mine:
Elastica 'Elastica'
Primitives 'Best of'
Mission 'Children'

(replacing my cassettes from the 80s/90s!)

Mothership - Led Zep.

I download stuff mostly.
I buy - I've never worked out how to download....
Last three were:

The Enemy - Live and Die in These Towns
The Rolling Stones - Rolled Gold
Michael Buble - Call me Irresponsible
in short yes I do buy music. I know that i can download music for free on some dodgy sites though i do feel there is a lot to be said for a real music collection. Last 3 were:

1, Iron Maiden - Caught somewhere in time, wanted this a long time, just could not find it

2, Vivaldi - four seasons, yes i have a wide music taste

3, earth Vs, the wildhearts, - had this in my car but now its unplayable so had to buy again
I still buy - it may be an age thing, but I like to physically handle my music collection - so CD's are still my passion. I only download singles, if i want an album i will always buy it.

Last three -

Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - Raising Sand
Nouvelle Vague - Nouvelle Vague.
I still buy music - I don't download stuff except to put on my Ipod and I love the feeling of going home and playing that cd for the first time :)
Elastica's first album was class, Whickerman, I might add that to my list to buy I only own a crappy tape copy.

This is the life - Amy MacDonald
Youth and Young Manhood - Kings of Leon
The Reminder - Feist

A mixture really. If it's something obscure, nostalgic or out of print I'll download or copy off mates(usually for the mp3 player).

Will buy if the artist is one of my faves.

Last bought:

Atonement Soundtrack
Editors - An End Has A Start
Morrissey - You Are The Quarry
still think buying is better ,iff from a shop or online ,think artists deserve the money ,my 3 last cds bought kratwerk radioacity ,british sea power .and the sound track to there will be blodd need see film to see get the drift should got best oscar soundtrack but not allowed
A mixture.

Things like www.emusic.com allow me to take chances on things for very little, www.we7.com even allows me to legally download whole albums for free, http://www.archive.org/details/etree has some great concerts on it for free.

With that said, I get my favourite bands' stuff on CD. Recent purchases include:

Nil Recurring - Porcupine Tree
Picaresque - The Decemberists
13th Star - Fish
Still love getting cds. Went to buy a cd Friday evening and came out with 7. Could have been a lot worse too. Occasionally download too but mainly use ones I buy (or borrow from library). 3 of last batch were:

Huh - Blue Aeroplanes
Chutes Too Narrow - Shins
The Dirty South - Drive By Truckers
Go to http://www.flickrmusic.com The quality of the music is great and the download times are very quick. It is a great source for and kind of music to download. A must for everyone.
