The cushions/seats on my sofa are hard foam & not very comfortable! What can I restuff them with? I want it to be soft & comfortable but not have to keep replumping them all the time. Ages ago I had an expensive Duresta sofa that was very comfy but don't know what the stuffing was made of - wish I'd kept it now!!

I haven't looked what is in the seat cushions of my new suite but an older one I had was firm foam topped with a layer of wadding. Perhaps you could add a layer or 2 of that to soften the seats, if you have enough room between the top of the foam and the fabric casing.

Know what you mean about replumping all the time. We were told to do that every day. The seat cushions are heavy and I miss my leather suite which never needed to have that done.
Most new foams and the cheaper stuff will be very hard, I think it has something to do with being fire retardant.
The wadding that goes around the foam is Dacron and the thicker you make it the softer it can be. You might be limited with how much you can have depending on how tight the covers are. This will eventually squash down and need replacing but not for awhile and it will definately be better than sitting on the foam.
