Is Turkey In Europe or Asia? and if it is in both...who decides where the borders of continents are?

Turkey is in both Europe and Asia, with the Bosphorus gulf being the boundary between the two continents. Traditionally there are 5 continents - Europe, Africa, Asia, America & Australasia - and the boundaries between them are fairly clearly indicated by geographical features - eg the Atlantic Ocean between Europe and America; the Red Sea between Africa and Asia; the Bosphorus and the Ural Mountains between Europe and Asia. Nowadays, Antartica is usually counted as a sixth continent; and North (inc Central) America and South America are often regarded as separate continents.
