Removing Plaster from Stone Floor

Our plasterers did not put sheeting down when plastering walls in our new house and the stone flagged floor is covered in plaster. Does anyone know how to remove it?

I agree with the first part of the above answer actually.lol.
My daughter's boyfriend is a plasterer and would never dream of leaving a house without fully cleaning up any mess he had made to the householders satisfaction.

Yeah, I know Builder I said something similar myself when I saw the mess they had made, especially as we supplied them with a huge roll of viscuene to protect the floor, which they didn't even bother to unroll. Anyway, they used Thistle Board Finish Plaster, hope you have a solution for me as there is approx 100 square metres to clean!

Caz.....................the good news is that Thistle is only water based so it won't "adhere" permanently. Flick off the lumps with something like a wallpaper scraper. A stiff yard brush and plenty of water is probably the best way after that. It'll eventually come off the stone OK, but the grouting might need a scrubbing brush.
I wish I could make it easier.

The best way is........

call the plasters back and get them to clean up the mess that they left behind.

I'm with you other guys, get em back - messy B*gg**s. We had some plastering done while the house was still carpeted and they were spotless - until my builder popped round in the evening to check, picked up a thistle bag of rubble they had left on a neatly folded dust sheet. As he walked across our lounge with the bag, the bottom come out and a bucket load of wet plaster 'pooped' onto our carpet!
