A while ago I asked for people's experiences about different types of mattress toppers and duvets and had a fantastic response.
So here I am again, this time asking about the best quality mattress that people have found and where...
It is for a wooden slatted French style KS bed.
I don't want to compromise on cost or quality as I love my bed and sleep! Am already getting a down topper and down duvet so it would be a shame to 'spoil the ship for a ha'p'orth of tar' (I think the expression is!).
Opted for a Hypnos orthopaedic mattress, which came fromJohn Lewis. Not sure if it was its own brand but after four years it still feels extremely comfortable.
Thanks Zacs and Whoever! Only just got notification of your post, Zacs!
Shall check them both out - my parents had a Vi Spring for years - I think Charles and DI had one and it used to be the King of mattresses I know. Will check out compatibility with slatted beds.
Hypnos is a great brand we bought a Hypnos bed 24 years ago and it is great.
I replaced the mattress some time back with a John Lewis own brand one (Sinclair pocket springs)
A few hundred pounds but worth it.
Thi year I invested in a John Lewis feather and down mattress topper. Wow! Like sleaping on a cloud.
We also bought a cotton duvet cover, and WOW again! I still have the Argos polycotton one so every other week when we change it it is heavan to go to bed!
