please can anyone tell me how i can find out which insurance company i am insured with as i have misplaced the documents and need my certificate to tax my vehicle.

why not do it on line- if you are insured the powers that be know you are insured- same with the MOT so providing youve received the reminder you can do it on line without producing any docs.

You can check to see if your vehicle is insured by putting the registration number through at:
www.askmid.com
This is run by the motor insurance beureau, but unfortunately it wont tell you who you are insured with but at least you can make sure it is valid then you can get your car tax on line.
