I heard a great track, which sounded very like Keane but was by Muse. I think it was just called Revelation but I cant seem to find which album it is from.

Are you thinking of Starlight (by Muse)? It has the line Black holes and revelations, and is from the album of the same title (Black holes and revelations)

Yes, I think this was it, it sounded so like Keane. I will get the album.

Incidentally what are Keane doing now - last heard the lead singer had a bad drug problem?

I third Goodsoulette's statement. Muse are phenomenal. No-one could ever be quite like them!
Loggy. Go and Listen to the Absolution album (particularly Butterflies and Hurricanes) . You'll see they're nothing like keane.

I haven't listened to anything else they have done but Starlight had a very Keane rift/sound to it. I have now ordered their album. Lots of comments on Amazon seem to suggest that some of the tracks are very ELO or Queen sounding!!!

Black holes and revelations is like mixing system of a down, with prince and a classical genius. It was a bit of a turn around and more electronic than the other stuff.

By far their most easy listening and political album. I think Blackholes and Revelations is for everyone, anyone can listen to it and find a song that they'll adore.
A group of my friends had a rather large arguement with one particular person who said that 'all Muse songs sound the same.' (!!!!)
As you can imagine, he is no longer invited to future Muse gigs.
Personally I find their first album 'Showbiz' quite hard to swallow.
But Absolution is my favourite album, I know and adore every song. (Time is running out, Falling away with you, Sing for Absolution)
Muse have won 27 awards worldwide. Including last years NME Best Live act (For Wembley Stadium, which indeed was absolutely fantastic!)

Well deserved, too! I think Map of the Problematique is just the archetypal PERFECT song... *swoon*

Yes, I do like that song. The only thing that I found ashame at the Wembley gig was that Map of The Problematique and a couple of others had the same background video. Sad I know, but I would've liked them to come up with some new ones. But yes, muse gigs are just fantastic.
I someone wrote on amazon 'Muse absolutely ruined live music, as nothing as can compare' I believe that by far!

well they have won the best british live act at the brits a few years in a row now, and they totally deserve it, their concerts are mad! there is no1 else like them.

Dont really like this album having bought it. Too Brit Poppy for me!! and too like a lot of other bands. Black Holes and Revelations is Keany!!
