Hamas Rocket attacks???

Can anyone make any sense of these rocket attacks? I mean they must know that Israel will retaliate hugely. Surely Hamas must take some responsibility for their own deaths. I just don't get it, I struggle to understand the mentality, please can someone enlighten me??

When the recent peace talks started that involved Israel and Fatah they forgot to include Hamas. Its like trying to solve the Nortern Ireland situation without including the IRA.

No, not a stupid question. Israel tried to trade land for peace, and pulled out of Gaza. Then, as predicted by many, Gaza became the launching pad for the rocket attacks. Israel was betrayed yet again, and worse, are condemned for retaliating.
What would you expect our government to do if rockets landed on your town, launched from, say, Norway?

Is it any wonder Israel is reluctant to give up the West Bank? Then they would have another launching platform that would bring in a rain of rockets from the East, as well as the south, Gaza, and the North, Lebanon.
