Cancelled my sky subscription today - I think �40 a month is a diabolical rip off - anybody remember how much it used to cost?

Talk of the devil, Sky are advertising a cable+broadband+phone package on C4 for �16.

i have sky and i would pay double what i pay now espcially when you see the bilge that is on terrestrial tv, i dont drink, smoke, gamble have a social life or even leave the house other than to work so its worth it

I pay �60 for Virgin Media. That includes XL cable + Landline + 4Mb Broadband. I was with Telewest for many years until Virgin took over. I've been advised that the Broadband will go up to 10Mb at the end of march.

Bob - I have been trying to stop using the idiot box as much because et the end of the evening I always feel like another one has been wasted.

I have BT broad band separate but its paid for through the business.

Hi cazz - I am self employed - at this time of the year I like to be outside during the day ( non - work) to take advantage of the sunny whther and I can do my work in the evening - but...... as you might guess the goggle box is sooooooooooo tempting and I have no self control.

Cazz - no - usually watch different things on diff tellys in the house anyway ( I cannot stand BB / Dancing on Ice etc etc) - but did have agreement that the telly is interrupting plans a bit.

Gosh I never thought about the annual cost before! Sack that! My partner wants the Sports pack. All power to him! If I was paying, I wouldn't have Sky I don't think. It's such a lot of money! Amen to Freeview!

I love music, and reading. Proper entertainment you know! That said, I would have to wean myself off the choice that Sky gives.

I tried said not available in my area. Ended up with sky package and sky talk for �26 a month sky asked for �38 to include broadband.
