I sold my mother of the bride dress and coat on e bay. Described item in every detail including materials size colour length everything I could think of..Had an e mail today saying she was not satisfied with it and she wanted her money back .She said in e mail she had not looked at dress till nearly a week after receiving it yet she put feed back up that day she received it that she was happy with item.I would say she got a bargain at less than quarter of the price I paid and she had the fasinater to match as well. She said there was a mark on it which is not right as I examined it before posting. Where do I stand on this .Thanks

It sounds to me like she has just changed her mind. She bought the item as described and gave you positive feedback. The mark(if there is one at all) has probably been made after she received the item. You are under no obligation to refund her money.
Ask her if the wedding happened last Saturday.
I never thought of that one buildersmate.lol. I know women who have bought outfits from shops for a big event, worn them and then returned them to the shop for refunds.
Hi wendilla. I do a lot of ebaying and I find great advice in the Community section there from other ebayers. Click on Community, then Answer Centre, then Selling. There's fab lady who's always around called Topcat who gives great advice. Good luck x
i thought the same as builders mate, she has probably worn it already and now doesnt have a need for it
You've got your money, you've got your feedback. Apart from the fact that she doesn't have a leg to stand on, there's not much she can do to you out of spite either, so I would tell her to poke it!

Thanks for your replies.Did not think that she might have worn it. It was weird to send feed back straight away which said highly delighted with item and quick posting. then complain nearly a week later. And yes Bathsheba I will enquire there.
she could want her money back and she's trying to keep the goods too! tell her to go forth and multiply!
say sorry, but i checked the goods and they were fine. tell her you are more than happy to sort out the matter if she wants to bring ebay (or paypal) into it. remind her that you have her positive feedback.

it might be worth checking her feedback to see if she is usually trustworthy - or not.
Don't forget to put her on your 'blocked bidders' list!
tell her to find her hook and sling...cheeky mare!

Thanks for replies if this is the hassle you get after getting positive feed back I don't think I will bother selling anything else.
Just to let you know I have sold many things on ebay and only had one event like yours. A guy bought a blow up globe. He later said it was poorly repaired and he didnt want it. It had never been repaired by me as it wasnt broken. He did it and then botched the repair. However, for a simple life I took it back and refunded his money but not the postage. There are some not very good buyers out there but I wouldnt let it put you off as the majority are great.
