blimey, we used to go to the cinema (Flea pit) such alot, I can;t remember the first time i went, I remember going to see a Tarzan film where he went to New York, about 1964ish, and we sent to see The Incredible Journey when it was forst released.

I can remember going to the local cinema on a Saturday afternoon - it used to cost 6d then. I can't remember what the first film I saw was but I do recall St Trinians films (Alistair Sim) and also my brother being scared of the wicked stepmother in Disney's Snow White. That would have been in the early 60s.

made in 1936, my aunts favourite singing duo. I saw the film with her at the local fleapit.
The first person of another colour most of us saw in our village was Sabu with two elephants (Gunga Din ). Animals
were stabled in the local butchers overnight.
