I'm going out of my mind with this song that 's stuck in my head, but I don't know the artist or the title. What I do know is that it's an all electric guitar instrumental (with some drums in the back) Somewhat fast paced and fun. I thought that it might be eddie van halen, but I've yet to narrow it down. Could anyone send some help or knowledge my way thanks.

What about 'Sabre Dance' by Love Sculpture, a few years old now but I still love this !
Come on diggers, we need more than 'it's got guitars and drums'. Is it in an ad, what does the singer look like, give us something...!
something by Steve Vai or Joe Satriani? C'mon mate, give us a bit more info. Is it a guitar solo or an instrumental track? Old or new? If it's a new widdly widdly guitar solo, it's probably Dragonheart.
Have you figured this out yet diggerODO ?, would be good if you let us know...

Thanks for the help mates, I've tried what you all suggested, but no luck. I'm pretty sure it's an 80's song, but short of leaving an audio file with my horrible rendition of it, I can't really describe anything else. It is an instrumental, as opposed to a plain solo. But again, the lack of detail doesn't help. Will keep trying.

Cheers!
could this be Steal Away (The Night) with Randy Rhoads on guitar........just an idea as there aint a lot of info

Mates,

After over 2 years of trying to figure it out, I have done so, thanks to my roommate and his XBox 360!

The song was Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson, props go mainly to Guitar Hero III.

Cheers,
Sean
