I have 100k to burn (total on house, no mortgage). Can 100k buy me anything in greater London any more? 1 bed house needed.

Can it buy you anything in Greater London, yes. Would you actually want to live in that area, proberbly not. Just did a quick check on rightmove for Bexleyheath which is one of the cheapest areas of London. The cheapest house was �160k, there were no properties at all for �100K flats included.

A house (not a flat) with only one bedroom is rather unusual in London, and my feeling is that you won't find one for �100,000.
