You've got to be kidding. A shameless attempt to rip off Shameless, this was the worst thing the BBC have ever put their name to. As soon as they were stuck for a plot development, they chucked in a bit of pathetic viewer titillation and the scene where they had the headmaster w*****g over the transexual auntie had to have Lord Reith spinning in his grave.

It wasn't hip, it wasn't clever, it was just an idiot's idea of what constitutes forward-thinking television. As such it was every bit as bad as cretinous offerings like Big Brother or The Chuckle Brothers

The Director General has the cheek to be sniffy about American programming ... but a quick flick through HBO's schedules and a look at this childish drivel will tell you all you need to know.

Everybody involved in this should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

And if I was one of the parents of the little kid who acts the part of the youngest boy in the family, I'd be handing myself in to social services sharpish for allowing him to be involved in such garbage.
