E-Mailing photos

When I receive photos by e- mail I go through the process of downloading, then opening the file and get full screen pictures.
At the bottom of the screen are forward and reverse arrows. If I use these all sorts of other pictures appear,
some I recognise from my internet downloads others I don't.
Is there anyway to stop these appearing

It seems that yours are going into the Temporary Internet folder which is why when you forward or reverse the images you get to see all the images that are embedded in sites that you have visited.
I alway download everything to desktop so I instantly know where it is and file it from there, if I want to keep it.

Until you save the pictures, they are stored as part of the e-mail. When you view them, they must be decoded, so they are decoded and temporarily stored in your Temp directory. Therefore when you use the next and previous buttons you are examining the contents of the Temp director. What you need to do is first save the attachments to a folder of your choice.
