Well you will need a tap & dye set to do this it is very easy.

chamfer the rod screw part and force the die onto it , two forward and one back using a cutting grease or oil will do , for the tap, get it started and again two forward and one backwards, keep them both straight and blow away the swarf that comes off it , try not to snap the tap in the hole as they are a devil to remove and you have to shatter it to remove it .best of luck ..
