Are they a good thing or a bad thing?

Good zoos have conservation. They protect endangered species from extinction. The cause might be habitat loss, hunting/ poaching or disease. Bad zoos are bad.

i think that they are both good and bad. this is because without the zoos extinct species in the wild would be extinct forever if it wasnt for the zoos. but thery are also a bad thing as the animals are put in tiny cages with barely any room to act normal, no space to hide from visitors and very little space. and also Elephants and other animals migrate for food and use the same path year after year and stop at the same watering hole. so as you can guess i think that they are bad really but in another sense i am all for them. another reason why they look so bad is because that most zoos are charity and so dont have a big budget to expand cages or make them big enough so its not their fault if its any bodys fault its the pochers because if they didnt kill the animals for little money we wouldnt have to build these cruel places.

I guess they is safe in there but I've read in a magazine that these two boys killed two of the same kind of animals. And the animals were from the same family! So it not that safe. Unless that animal is nearly extinct then yeah but also i think animals dream of the free wild nearly every night, even if they were brought up in a zoo. "Will i ever be free?" "Can i go home with my family" "I wish the wild grass and trees" "And live ever happily" Not bad for thinking that poem in my head just there! 12 year old kid! P.S. can someone answer my question about Legendary Animal! Need help for essay! I do need help and all the answers I get don't help! FINALLY: ZOOS ARE BAD!!

zoos are good as long as they are going to breed the animals and place the off spring back into the wild to bump up the numbers left. i have worked in a zoo myself so i know that not all zoo's are bad, some are great they can be very educational and helpful with the study in animals and they also help to conserve the wild and endangered animals that inhabit our earth. so my final word is that zoo are great but you do get the odd bad one which is only in the business to make money for themselves.
