Ignorant noisy neighbours

The people in the house 2 doors away have been chain-sawing trees down in their back garden since just after 7:30am this morning. Bl00dy ignorant prats. I have been up since 6:30 so the noise didn't wake me but I really like peace in the mornings. Do any of you have annoying neighbours?

Awww daffy , it's awful when you have inconsiderate neighbours who don't think or care about anyone around them. I used to have next doors who played loud music 24/7 , all night and day , drugged up and drunk . They eventually got evicted . I also had a dear old gentleman next door who used his outside loo at around 5.30 like clockwork , and then filled buckets of water to flush it , and the yard brush his back garden path around 6 !
Touch wood , the ones I have now are quieter in the night .

I personally don't see what the problem is. If they want to take down trees in their garden, aren't they entitled to do so? Just after 7.30am seems like a reasonable time to me, after all it isn't the middle of the night. I would only see a problem if they were making noise on a regular basis and causing a nuisance to all the neighbours around them.

The problem is that they could have waited half an hour. If I was to put my washing machine on in my own house and it disturbed my neighbours then I could be prosecuted for that,but its ok to have people chainsawing trees at that time? And yes these people are noisy all the time,just not usually this early. They have a son who does stock car racing and he "fixes" his car on their driveway every Sunday.......he uses angle grinders and other power tools which are not exactly quiet.

Why should they wait half an hour to please you? It is their garden and their trees, therefore their decision to cut them down. What difference would waiting half an hour make anyway? As for the son "fixing" his car on their driveway, I don't understand what the problem is there either. If he was using your drive I would understand. Their car, their drive, therefore not your problem. Have you acctually spoken to them directly about this? Have any other neighbours got this huge gripe with them too?
