Should this Mother be investigated by the British authorities when she returns to England, and are the rest of her children at risk?

I found the following statement rather hypocritical coming from a country that allows child brides.

Sex with a minor is considered rape in India, whether or not consent is given.

We just don't seem to be able to muster the right breeding stock in this country any more.

15:54 I pity her latest partner, having sex with her must be like dangling a maggot into a wheelie bin

When I was 16 yr and 2 months old, I went to Italy to live for the summer with people my parents had never met.

<i.And yes, I went out clubbing. Just like a million 16 years old do in this country.

Just because your parents where obviously also somewhat lacking in responsibility does not make it right.

To let a 16 year old travel far from home to a foreign county to live with people they had never met is foolishness at least.

Also I don't think millons of 16 year olds go out clubbing in this country, since the legal age to enter a club is 18, unless of course you mean youth clubs.
Like a chinese willy in a wellington boot.
While I believe that it is irresponsible to leave a 15 year old on her own in a foreign country, I do think that she has paid the ultimate price for that.

You also have to think that if she had been 16, she could have gone to India on her own without her mothers consent. Maybe she could have sold a few pets!

However, the other thing that dismays me is that whilst Goa is probably statistically a very safe place, Anjuna is known for drugs and always has been since it started being a hippy/new age hang out back in th 60's.

I certainly wouldn't have a young girl unaccompanied in that type of area - unless of course that is what they were used to and that is why he saw it as ok - which to me is another story!

So to answer your question, yes I think that she should be investigated to ensure the ongoing welfare of her kids. However, in terms of risk assessment, you have to think that the risk of her doing something similar in the future must be close to nil going by the result of her last error of judgement. In the same way that I bet the McCanns will never ever take their eyes of their kids again.
The woman I went to stay with was a friend of my aunts. They saw it as an excellent opportunity to further my language skills. It is common for 16 year olds in Italy to go out late at night with friends for a pizza and their clubbing culture is different. It was often late night gigs in a park in Rome.

For me it turned out to be a brilliant opportunity. I got a job in the school of English and was able to return summer upon summer.

You think no underage kids go clubbing AOG, of course they dont.
These parents who dont take precautions with their children for whatever reason, must be held accountable when things go wrong.
A lot of people say the mother is now paying the ultimate price, but none of us will ever know what pain and evil suffering the child went through, THEY paid the ultimate price and were robbed of their life.
I was never allowed to be out late at 16 and at the time thought I was being hard done by.
Bad things do happen even when parents are being mindful, but at least they cant fault themselves for neglect.
