Both of these plugs can be found in Barbados:

Note that the electrical supply is 115V, not the 230V which is used here in the UK. With a simple plug adapter (rather than a far more expensive voltage converter), many UK items either won't work or will work inefficiently. For example, contributors to AB have indicated that you might be able to get a minimal charge on a mobile phone and that items like hair straightener will work but take ages to heat up. Many electronic devices, e.g. laptops, probably won't work at all.

It is basically the same as the US. Charging of phones, laptops and similar works fine, although it may take a little longer (I don't really know how long it takes to charge them in the UK anyway!) As Buenchico says though, hair driers and straighteners don't work at all well unless they are dual voltage.
