Hi, My Mother-In-Law inhertitade a house from her dad. She has to pay the inheritance tax as well. But few years later she had a storke and she did "deed of gift" (house, 3 years ago) to her son. She owns the falt as well (where she lives). At the moment she isn't able to pay remaining her dad's inheritance tax. Question:
* Can she sell her flat and pay the dets. Is it possible that she would move live with son in the house without losing the "deed of gift" (maybe she has to start pay the rent)
* If she doesn't pay the inher. tax is the house reliable for the dets?
Thank you in advance

Thank you! I will go as soon as possible to see professional advice.

But meanwhile, maybe someone knows or have an experience - if she doesn't pay her inher. tax and taxman steps in - what will be sold first her flat or the house (deed of gift)
