Sonic tooth brush heads

I seem to go through these fairly quickly, I use a sonic toothbrush and still brush vigoursly up and down as I did with an old fashioned toothbrush, my pal says its me and that you should gently glide the brush across yoyr teeth letting the brush do its work.
Also my hubby thinks that sonic toothbrushes loosen
your fillings, is there any proof of this ?

I use a Braun professional care toothbrush, where the head vibrates and moves. Most dentists will reccomend such brushes.

Is the Sonic like a regular manual brush, but it vibrates?

All electric toothbrushes should be used without applying any pressure. The brush should be held lightly without pushing or scrubbing, like your friend suggests, it should glide over the teeth and gums.

I've never heard that electric brushes loosen fillings, but if you're concerned, you should ask your Dentist or Hygienist.

I've been told (by a dentist) that you shouldn't apply much pressure at all when using that sort of toothbrush. Apparently the gums can recede.

many tks , I have all implants on the top, so I dont suppose
it will matter, but the bottom teeth are mine.
