X Factor final format

At the moment a public vote decides the bottom two and, of those two, the judges pick a winner (and a loser.) In the grand final there will presumably be only two contestants already. Will the viewing public have any say in the overall winner?

 

Does this suggest that a Simon Cowell act can not possibly win? Sharon and Louis are allied against him and would vote for the opposing singer(s).

but if the judges acts get voted out i think the judge goes out so louis might be out by then!

i find sharon osbourne and louis walsh very childish..about the whole voting off thing..simon cowell knows his stuff..and love him or hate him he is usually right..he would not be so petty as to hold a grudge vote against sharon or louis...none of the contestents are destined for great fame they will just be a flash of winning mode and soon dissapear..either into musicals or cruise ships etc...its really all a bit pathetic as they are boosting these contestants up with promises of stardom and they will all soon dissapear..like previouse pop idol contestants...some of them have been good they had their moment of fame and vanished in a puff of smoke...the general public are extremelly fickle...mullein

I believe Louis is great, god he went hell the last 2 weeks. everyone loves simon, well not me, Louis i agree with.

I think the idea of the judges choosing who leaves is a bit stupid anyway. At the begining of the series Kate said that new secret voting system would mean that the "public's vote counted more than ever" but it actually counts for less.

Mullein, I totally agree with you.  Simon is the only one that has any idea of what music is all about.  He seems gentler these days, although he is not frightened to speak his mind still. 

 

I actually think the only person with the X factor in all these competitions has been Will Young!  And look how well he is doing now.
