Is it actually illegal to park in a Parent and Child spot in a car park if you don't have a child with you, in the same way as it is illegal to park in a Disabled spot if you don't have a proper disabled sticker on your car? Can you actually get fined for using a Parent and Child space if you don't have a child with you?

YES in asdas you get fined ( well in colchester you do) i have a small baby and had nowhere to park safely to get my daughter out of the car ( for those who think our kids are fat or lazy its because we need to open the door fully to get child of car seat so we don't smack there heads on the way out, then we would be up for abuse) so after looking round for suitable place to park like parent and child space or on the end of a row i parked in a disabled and came out to find a parking ticket for 40 slapped on my car, i am now on a mission to get a scheme going for parent and child parking in this dismal country who treat our kids as second rate citizens
