New iPod to be released?

I am dying to get an iPod!! As it stands, the newest one released came out in July 2004, and I am really considering buying this one. However, I don't want to buy it and then a few weeks/months down the road a new better, cheaper version comes out.

Does anyone know of any talk of a new iPod version being released? If so, please post any information you have it on it, particularly when it will be released!

while you're there, could you get me 60GB photo iPod, thank you =)

a 60Gb Ipod has been announced with colour screen that will also store photos.

personally i would still buy the current generation ipod as when the new one is released it will be VERY expensive(even for an ipod !)

20gb is plenty for storage and 60 will never be used

The new iPod has been out ages, as aways when buying this kind of kit, you should buy the best you can afford. It is worth remembering you can store other stuff on the iPod, back up your computer for example.
