Does anyone know the original quote which is so often used these days along the lines of...."You can take the girl out of the highlands, but you can't take the higlands out of the girl"
The earliest version of this concept that I ever heard was, "You can take the beast out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the beast." Sometimes 'tiger' or 'leopard' was used in place of beast. Perhaps you can google along these lines. Good luck.
Thanks, Quizmonster. I've tried googling various versions, including country, highlands, beast and others, but nothing, so far, comes up with the original for me.
