I think you should all know I have formed the "Geezer party" to offer a 3rd way. Manifesto:
rule 1: no p00fters
rule 2: No cars, R1's only
rule 3: see rule 1
rule 4: obey all the rules
rule 5: see rule 3
rule 6: no ugly birds
rule 7: no p00fters
sensible policies for a happier Britain!

Question Author
what's "real man's" bike then?
anthing thats not japanese, not covered in plastic and dosen't make that crappy wizz noise!
Question Author
and has the power of a hair dryer no doubt!
plenty o horses in my stable geezer! those jap bikes just haven't got any class.....get yourself a test ride on a buell xb12 mate....you'll have that r1 in the bike trader soon as you get home!
A real mans' bike is a Triumph or BSA.
british bikes are good too...have a triton...triumph t110 pre unti engine in a norton wideline frame....lurking around the back of the garage!
My Dad was offered 100K from the Triumph company some years ago for his own. He was doing repairs on it and contacted them about replacement parts; they were more interested in his bike than selling him the parts.
Question Author
yes I've heard the Buell is good, I'll certainly give it a go next change of bike. Perhaps I'll modify rule 2!

My mates got an old Triumph speed twin, kin frightening aint the word about 15bhp and no kin brakes! At least with a modern bike you pull the lever and there's something there!
